My latest project is the Malawi Institute of Journalism's online publication The Weekend Express. Please check it out to see all the great stories journalism students in Malawi are working on.
The Tremont was recently restored and made into an arts centre and cafe. The website is used to promote the Tremont as a destination and for advertising events. The design uses heritage colours and a simple and clean layout, using HTML and CSS. A major emphasis was placed on social media to greater promote the Tremont online.
Scribbler is a community where blogging and art merge. Artists can sign-up on the social networking site to blog and post their artwork for the public to view. The site was created by myself, Francis San Juan and Christine Schaefer. It has full front and back-end functionality, which was developed with PHP. I worked on the graphics, HTML and CSS code.
Ceramic de Anke's website was designed for a local potter. The design uses the main colours in maiolica pottery and has a whimsical feel. The site was developed using HTML and CSS. There is also a Flash photo gallery to display the artist's work.
The HTML5 website was designed as a resource site about the new HTML5 tags, the latest version in HTML coding. The site was developed using HTML5 and CSS3 for styling.
The Twitter Widget was designed as an app for the Tremont's website. The widget uses the RSS feed from Twitter to display live Tweets. The widget was designed in Flash and uses XML and ActionScript 3.
CSS Zen Garden demonstrates what can be accomplished visually through CSS-based design. Using only CSS I designed and styled the site, leaving the Zen Garden HTML code as is.
This site was a school project. We had to interview someone in the web industry. I interviewed the owner of Total E Works in Collingwood.
Currently, I'm working on a website for the Collingwood branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario. It is a WordPress based site so the clients can update their site through a content management system.
